Chief Executive vacancy

Could you lead our team and oversee the implementation of our ambitious strategic plan? 

With newly confirmed Multi-Year Funding from Creative Scotland, we are seeking a Chief Executive to help us strengthen our vision and lead opportunities for our bold future. The ideal candidate will have experience in the classical music world of producing cross-disciplinary projects. They will work with our Artistic Director to craft a financially and artistically successful programme, bringing together partners and funding, to create exciting work of the highest quality for wide audiences, going beyond the concert hall. 

Hebrides Ensemble is a small organisation which changes shape according to the projects it undertakes, engaging musicians and other artists and staff as required. The role will require flexibility and multi-tasking, taking on a range of responsibilities. Strong financial management, planning and administrative skills will be essential.

Salary: £40,000
Contract type: Full-time, permanent subject to funding
Location: Working from home, with regular in-person meetings in Edinburgh
