Bluebeards’ Castle at EIF

The 2023 Edinburgh International Festival launched today, the first from new Director Nicola Benedetti.

Hebrides Ensemble is delighted to be featured as part of the groundbreaking production of Bartók's Bluebeard's Castle by Theatre of Sound. It is a radical retelling of one of opera’s great masterpieces, in which a husband and wife face the reality of living with dementia while celebrating their long love and shared memories.

Featuring an international cast and a clever re-orchestration by conductor Stephen Higgins, this is certain to be an EIF highlight. For more information, click on the link to the Festival's website below:
