Solstice of Dark and Light: Wind Water Earth Fire
This performance investigates the solstice and elements of sunlight and darkness. A promenade performance mixing text, music and visuals that opens up the space of the Cathedral allowing an audience to wander, move around or sit still during the performance. Specially designed lighting will bring the building to life to enhance the performance.
A one-hour event which brings St Magnus Cathedral to life with art, music and poetry. Using tales and poetry about sun and moon, the elements, the climate and the earth, this will create a mindful, exploration of the architecture with spatial live music, recorded text and visual art installations. The event will be part performance, part exhibition, part experience.
