Matthew Brook (Gerard Collett)

Since it was the day of preparation… (King’s Place, London)

Hebrides Ensemble joins forces with Dunedin Consort to present James MacMillan’s extraordinary setting of the Resurrection story.

Featuring the towering bass-baritone of Matthew Brook, ‘Since it was the day of Preparation…’ uses chamber forces to make a hugely powerful impact.

Presented as part of the Scotland Unwrapped series, this marks the second time that this ‘modern masterpiece’ will be presented in London since it was co-commissioned by Kings Place in 2012.
