Pierrot Lunaire at Spitalfields

St Mary-at-Hill , Lovat Lane, London, EC3R 8EE

The image of a lovelorn clown gazing at the moon has adorned posters of many a teenage bedroom. For our first appearance at London’s innovative Spitalfields Festival, we present three musical versions of the masked clown’s story: Schoenberg’s seminal Pierrot Lunaire, Helen Grime’s companion piece, and a world premiere from Electra Perivolaris. Featuring star soprano Stephanie Lamprea, it is presented alongside an exhibition of new paintings by artist Kirsty Matheson.
