This concert opens with the glittering brilliance of Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro, before unveiling the world premiere of a brand new song cycle, Folds on Folds, by rising star Jasper Dommett—commissioned through the RPS Composer programme and inspired by Boulez’s iconic work. You will then be swept into the enchanting fairytale world of Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, heard here in a fresh new arrangement by Alasdair Nicolson, before the performance ends with the atmospheric Folk Songs by Berio.
